What Are Challenges We Faced During DocShow App Development?
Identifying project challenges is key to successful product development. It helps identify potential problems and risks that could impact the project’s success. Additionally, it highlights the areas where additional resources may be needed to ensure the successful completion of the project.
For this project, our team of experts began by reviewing the requirements document and interviewing stakeholders. Based on the discussions, we identified the following key challenges:
- Ensuring that the platform is accessible to all patients, regardless of their location and device type (mobile or desktop)
- Ensuring that the system is secure and that patient information is protected.
- Ensuring the platform is easy to use or navigate so patients can easily make appointments or obtain the necessary information.
- Ensure that the appointments are booked accurately and are easy to track and manage for both patients and providers
- Ensuring that platform is easily scalable to meet spikes in user traffic.
What Plans & Solutions We Implemented?
We used the Angular framework for creating the front end and Node.js for the back end.
- Once a patient is registered, they have dedicated profiles to easily book appointments, keep track of them, and receive notifications about upcoming appointments.
- Similarly, doctors who register on the platform have unique profile pages to manage appointments, view patient information, send appointment reminders, and create reward programs.
- We created a backend server using Node.js to handle requests from users related to appointments, schedules, rewards, doctor-patient data, and other information queries.
- Once the basic framework was created, we tested it to identify potential improvement areas. Next, we added more advanced features such as a payment gateway, reminders, notifications, calendar view, reward programs, etc.
